Default gun metal/graphite and victory red??

Tomorrow i'm going to pick up another set of 17s(since mine are kinda trashed) and i'm thinking of having them powdercoated a gun metal grey or a graphite color.

What do you think??

It'd basically have this color scheme, but with smaller wheels:

I think you could pull either off. I personally would go with the gunmetal/graphite. The black may look good too but sometimes to me, black wheels with red don't "stand out" enough and look like you just have a spare on or something. It's hard to explain. Be sure to post up pics with whatever you do decide though.

Well i've seen pictures of black and seen them in person and they really have one fatal flaw. It looks awful unless the wheels are shined up.

True. I've seen several vehicles with black chrome wheels dirty as hell, and they look almost like a brownish gray color. You might as well get the gunmetal, you can have all the break dust on them you want, and they'll be "clean."

well that is one good part. Considering i spend a good 20 minutes on each wheel cleaning brake crap out of the corners.

anyhow i'll get pics when i get them all done. I'm also gonna weigh my steelie fullsize spare vs. one of these oem wheels. If the 17s weigh less i'm gonna throw one under as a spare, use two of them for dot slicks, and one thats just gonna sit around. lol

depends what brand of powder you get, gunmetal and black chrome are the same color usually

California.

Anyhow the deal fell through. The wheels were more tore up then my current oems and would require much more work to powdercoat.

I like the gunmetal Idea.
When my chrome gets dirty (90% of the time) they have a gunmetal, non shiney look to them that I like.
