Default Is this a good price?

I went to the paint shop today and got a price quote on some stuff. Could yall tell me if this is a good deal? Me and my dad normally do all of the paint and body work so i'm not sure on pricing. This project is beyond us so I am going professional. I know this guy does good work, so here it is:
The guy is going to

1. weld on a steel roll pan, paint both sides of the bed. (there are several scratches that I want to get rid of.)
2. Shave the tailgate and install the handle.
3. Also, i took the plastic cover off of the top of the tailgate and he is gonna fill in those holes underneath it.

The price he gave me was $1,000. What do you think? Oh yeah, and all of this is gonna be done by this friday. I need encouragement to spend this kind of money.

pretty good deal for all he is doing within the time he has. I paid around 600 for my gate shaved, pan molded and paint...so a couple hundred more per side to paint the bed is a pretty good price...imo.

That seems about right because the prep work is what your paying for. Sanding is a bitch.

If it looks awesome when it's done, then the price is right

If he does a good job then its worth it. Depending upon what color your trucj is the paint can be pretty expensive. If its the color of the truck in your sig like mine enough paint for the job he is doing i going to be over a hundred bucks just for paint. Sounds good to me especially in the short time frame.

Seems a little high, but not insanely. If the work is good and well done than I would do it. I know where I would spend 1K

I made the deal. He's gonna do all of that plus paint the hood and 3 pieces of the interior for $1,350. I'll post pics when it gets done.

Should look pretty good. Price seems OK - that's a lot of paint to be shooting. Which means a lot of prep.

1,000 sounds about right to me... What three pieces of the interior are you painting?
