A natural Do have a patience for it I suppose. Yeah maybe paint the truck in a few years when I get the taste of paint out of my mouth.

Little more progress. It's going slower now. I guess the clear is hardening. More pressure and time to cut it. I'm also finding some some orange peel that I didn't get sanded that I just won't stand for at this point.

Nice Job! I took me a long time to read through this thread so I can only imagine all of the hard work that you did. I hate to say this but that first paint chip in your hood is really going to **** you off

Thanks Brad. Yep it took a little longer to do the work than to post up the details. Well if it were absolutely flawless yeah I'd be very pissed with a chip. It's not but a hell of a lot better than when I started. I'm getting pretty good at little chip repair. I'll be even better now.

Hood goes on tomorrow. Pending getting somebody to come by and give a hand putting it back on.

It still needs some work. My buffing pads are failing. I've had them awhile and really put some miles on them with this project. The edges I mentioned earlier didn't get enough paint and clear. Another lesson learned. First sprays should be around the edges and angled up to get those areas. Several spots of lint that were deep into the clear that I didn't want to go after for fear of getting into the color. All in all I'm happy with the outcome.
