Default Fog light bulbs in an 03 silvy?

Can someone tell me what number the fog light bulbs are in the 03 silvy's?
i have 9005's in there now and they keep going bad and the little cover that surrounds the bulb is all discolored from getting too hot.
do i have the right one's or did someone sell me the wrong one's

The 9005s will fit, but they will get too hot (since they are the same bulb used for high beams). The bulb number is something like 9145 (I think, I'll have to double check that). Good luck finding a replacement, because I've been looking for about a year now and still haven't found one. They were suppose to be coming out with a Silverstar version of that bulb, but I haven't heard any more about that...

9145 is it...also I think H3 is a translation to 9145. As for the too hot thing, you can open them up and remove that little cap. makes them hella bright. Attached is a picture of them below before install, and before I replaced the bulbs..

i e-mailed piaa to ask them. check out what he said.

We actually don't manufacture the bulb type used in the fog lamps of this vehicle at this time. The bulb is not too common, and also just isn't a very good bulb to start with.

Thank you,

Jason

sylvania's website says its the 9145 bulb. you can most likely order them off the website if you can't find them anywhere.

xacto blade, screw driver, blow dryer, basicaly they are like regular sierra headlights. Pop them apart and then remove the center. Or if you dont want to do that. Cheat, by pushing it out though that little slot above where the light bulb goes in, then break the plastic buble that goes over the bulb and pull it out through the bulb hole.

I used a flat head to push it out then used my needle nose to break it and pull the pieces out.

Some might say they are tooo bright. But they are usualy people in front of me. So **** em. oh and u can just use 9005 lights after you do this since it wont matter after you remove that little piece. You can do what I do and use Xenon Yellow foglights.

those are just painted bulbs. ( I hate when they call them HID those freaking liars!! ) I think silverstars are xenon charged bulbs but since there not coloerd blue you get more light from them.

heres Real HIDs you can put in there

Aren't the 9005s still going to discolor the chrome housing behind the light? I could be wrong, because I yanked my ricer blue 9005s from my 03 after a week. They got so hot that I couldn't touch them. But, if you are just going to throw some 9005s in there, just buy some Silverstars. They are hella bright.
