Default First Time I didn't Lower Something...

Hello all, after owning many fullsize GM trucks, I have always lowered them. This time I was looking to do a little something different. I got my rough country 2" level kit installed over the weekend. First side I loosened everything without completely seperarting the upper ball joint. Second side I just removed the lower strut bolts and pried down on the control arm and slid the spacer in. Pretty simple intstall. Truck is a 2011, LTZ with black interior. Next step is to put on some 305/50r20 Terra Grapplers. Thanks for the help on this site! On to the pics.

Truck looks good. Tires should top it off. Think you will like the 305 50 20 Nitto TGs with the 2" level and OEM 20s.

Thanks guys. Sebring - is that what tire you are running on yours? Did you notice any decrease in mileage and how does it drive with that wide of a tire. I do sometimes go back and forth with going to a 275/60. Thanks for the input!

Yes I have 305 50 20 Nitto TGs. I'm not a good gauge on mileage because I average about 12 mpg with my 6.2L. I live 2 miles from work and sit in stop and go traffic most everywhere I go. On road trips I've gotten 4 to 5 mpg more. The tires are definitely heavier than the 275 55 20 OEM Goodyears, but they ride and drive better and aren't any noisier. I went with the 305 50s to keep the 32" tire diameter. Plus I personally like a wider/shorter look instead of skinny/taller. You might look at 285 55s or 285 50s if you want something between a 275 and 305. I've got another set of rims with a negative offset that I'm about to buy tires for and think I'm going to buy 285 50s.

Thanks for the response. If they drive just as good as the 275/55, then I am good with a slight drop in mileage. I checked on 285/55r20 in both toyo and nitto and I heard they are a good bit heavier than than even a 305/50 since they are 10 ply. 285/50 might be a good option as you mention. I will have to see if I can find some pics. I definitely dont want to go with a 33" tall tire like the 305/55s.
