I did the prep.
what I did, was go to Ace hardware. .get some 80 grid "sandblaster" red paper.
use that with a palm sander to smooth out as much texture as I can.
Then, used 320 and 600 to get it as smooth as possible.. its not 100% perfect...
then I used some Krylon fusion primer, and some Rustoleum primer..
primered\sanded\primered\sanded.. multiple times to try to get it perfect.
Then.. i used about 5 or so coats of arrival blue from a rattle can i got off ebay. PERFECT match on the color.. if anything the flake is more defined.
anyway..
Then i put about 10 coats of Rustoleum's anti yellowing\UV protected 2xx coverage clear coat.
Let that sit.. for about 5 days un disturbed in my home office.
Then wet sanded for 2 days with 1500 grit wet.. sometimes putting a drop of dishsoap to help keep the paper clean.
then buff with 3M perfect II, Zaino anti swirl , some wax, Z6, after a few of those...

Yes thanks for posting the steps and materials you used.

As i mentioned it looks great would almost be a shame not to detail other interior parts now to match that spectacular job you did.
