Does anyone know what % factory tint comes in, if it matters from state to state the truck was bought in Va. I think it's 20% i wanna match my back windows.

 

I'm not completely sure but I think it is 20%. I have 20% on my rear window and compared it to a factory tint before. It looked identical.

 

I have heard it varies slightly, but around 16-20% should match up good.

 

I just had the front windows tinted on my moms 03 Tahoe. I told the guy to match them up with the rear windows and he said they were 15%.

 

I was told it was 18%..

 

It is right around 20%. I had mine tinted again, all of them but the front glass. The driver side and passenger side fronts now have 20% on them, and the extended cabs and rear have 20% over the factory "DEEP" tint. They are blacked out with that combo now! WOOT! Kind of hard to tell in this pic, but you can kind of see how dark they are. I paid $150.00 for the 3M brand tint with lifetime gaurantee not to wrinkle, fade,turn purple, anything.

 

bought the 20% today gonna try it out.

 

mines apparently 2.5% all the way around according to the VA Beach police ... LOL... I bought 5% though.. he did meter it at night if that makes a difference.

 

ok I screwed up the tint now I'm gonna go get it done!
