Default Esclade Gauges in a 5 Speed???

will esky gauges work in a standard?...I was looking to get some but started to think about how my cluster doesnt have the gear selector in it and was wondering if that would effect anything are far as it working...if not would it just read Park all the time???

Same goes the the trans temp...I dont think I have a sensor so I guess that would just be a dummy?...this would be for a 2000 truck

I went to the dealership today to get my new 2wd u-bolts(hopefully will get done tomorrow) and was asking them about reprogramming the milage into the next cluster (but wasnt thinking about my questions above)and he kept asking me why I was changing it...so I finally told him my stepper motor in my water temp gauge crapped out and was gonna replace it with an esky cluster to get him off my back(I hate people that freak over things not being 'factory') but he didnt know if he could do the 01-02 cluster at the shop and that he might have to send both clusters out to have it done. I cant have my truck down for 3 days so I was wondering what you guys had done in the past?...I want it to be legit so Ill try with a new cluster but I guess we will see...

Thanks

geez nobody knows?!...lol I figured maybe someone has tried this...I really dont want to be the guinea pig ya know...and of course I called the dealership about the mileage thing and found one that will do it but asked each dealer if this would work and each of them were like its not ment for you truck, blah blah blah

I dunno...maybe I should try to see or hook up a friends cluster from an auto and see if it makes a difference???...

i've asked about this and the SS gauges with no answer aswell. Maybe an aftermarket gauge company would know.

Yep; it'll work just fine. I think the gear indicator stays in D all the time or something like that though.

You will have no use for the trans gauge since it won't work. but the rest should work just fine.
