I have a tip. Instead of removing the plastic water cover and having to glue it back down, I just made two cuts over the opening like a + just big enough to reach my arm in. It saves a lot of time and if you ever change them again you will be glad. Do it at your own risk though but I haven't had any noise or water problems at all.
I didn't have to glue mine back down. I just pealed it back then stuck it back in place after I was finished. I've done it 3 times now and it's been in the same place everytime I took the door panel off.

Two other tools that will make it much easier: A long extension for your ratchet (at least 6") and a magnetic pick up tool. That alone will save you much time from having to dig around in the bottom of the door to fetch a dropped nut. Good Luck!!!
Not sure if you're referring to my directions but I have both tools listed on it. The extendable pen magnet is the best thing since sliced bread!

Same here, it's still sticky and I've taken it apart several times. If it doesn't stick, just use a little glue

I didn't even look at your page..oops..but if you covered that much then I'll vouch for it being good. And yeah I have saved many headaches with that magnet on a stick

Got my handles today! I ordered the all painted ones and they send me the chrome painted ones. I was mad at first, but after I started thinking about it I liked them. So now they are on the truck! I think now I am going to order the GMC Chrome side molding for the truck. Any one know the part number for the reg. cabs.

By the way I have little cuts all over my hand! The install was cake. I ordered the rear door handle for the pass. side, there is now no lock hole. Thought about it on the drivers side too, but I need some way to unlock the truck if the battery goes dead.

The PT Kings online page
Thats where I got my handles from, the cheapest place I found online. They also sell the GMC molding... which might be my next exterior mod now. I have to wait til next Saturday to throw my handles on... cant wait!
