escalade gauge install

Does the tranny guage work, or does it take some extra parts to hook it up too?? I thought I heard somewhere that the 1/2 tons were also wired for it but just not included in the oem cluster. How does it work??

just plug it in and you now have a tranny gauge. a friend of mine that works at a dealership told me you can put a switch in one of the wires to shut off the odo to not record mileage if you don't want to. but SLEEKSILVERADO, yes the tranny temp gauge is plug and play!!! very good thing to have, i'm not gonna put my new tranny cooler on until i've got the escalade gauges to get some initial numbers with a small cooler, then new ones with the big cooler.

slowverado, the only way to kill the miles (which is illegal
) is to put a switch on the cluster at the fuse box. One of my f body friends did this but the only down side is you have no speedo better yet no gages at all. Also you have to have the switch on to start the truck or it wont start. If you know of another way let me know. If you do this be careful because iv heard the miles are stored up to 7 diff places in the truck so still knows your actual miles. (Correct me if im wrong)

that's pretty much the same thing i was talking about sleek. i didn't know you had to have the switch on to start the truck though. but yeah, that's what i heard pretty much.

I dont know why, but my air bag light is always on in my escalade cluster. . .i dont know if there was something about the late model 99's where this was a defect, but I've heard several ppl have this issue with the late 99 new body styles. anyone have any info about this?.
