First of all,Do you have a tahoe or a pickup?
If you have a pickup and wanting to paint the front end.You can paint the whole thing without buying anything.But if you want to make it easier you can buy a front top bumper pad for a LT Tahoe that is already slick ready to paint for about $100.The bumper can be sanded with 80 grit sandpaper to get the paint to stick,if it is chrome.And the front valance can be scuffed ,apply some adhesive called bulldog then primer and wetsand till it is slick.The grille is the same way.My truck is being done again as we speak.
