I have done this many times. Take out handle, flip over you will see a pin on one end of the handle. Take a dremel with a cut off disk on it and and cut off the flared end then you can take a small screwdriver and push out the pin. I always put it back together with a nut and bolt the size of the pin. On the other side of the handle it has a black plastic pin holding the spring assembly. the pin has to slide out push the ears on the plastic pin together and slide the pin out of the hole and transfer to other handle. p.s. be sure to look at how the spring is setting it is easy turn it around.
