Default Dash woes.

I scratched my dash all up installing a new head unit and can't find a paint to match the oem color. I was told by the dealer I could wet sand the scratches and spray some SEM paint on it but the SEM paint eats the factory dash paint and the color I picked out was too light so I had to take the whole dash off and clean off all the paint because I wound up with a huge spot on the dash. By the way, it was pretty easy to do, went to the local car wash and hosed it right off, cost about 6 bucks though. Also the SEM brand paint is much tougher than the factory paint. The spot that I sanded and sprayed with the SEM did not come off at all after the pressure washing and scuffing. Just wish I could find a factory match paint.

Go to an auto paint supply store and they can custom mix you what you need. They'll have a book with the interior color codes.
