Dash changes

I'm wanting a different look to my gauge panel.
I thought about doing an Escalade overlay thing but now I'm considering Auto Meter gauges in a new panel where the old gauges are. I'd just get rid of the stock tach, speedo, etc and put in new Phantom's. I have Aerospace Interceptor scan gauges on the pod for most readings needed so I'd just use the current stock gauge panel for a tach w/memory and shift lights along with the speedo, gas gauge and oil pressure.
I'd lose the warning lights and messages, etc. Would there be any computer or electrical problems because of these changes?

I have the Escalade kit nib, not yet installed and started thinking about the Auto Meter Phantoms. Great looking.. imo. Money is not the determining factor. I want an original look. Will installing Auto Meter tach/speedo/fuel gauge/oil pressure cause any problems... assuming they're properly installed?
