Default Dang Deer!!

well.. i smoked a deer last night doin about 40, grille is completely gone, drivers side headlights and corner lights are gone, condensor busted, bumpers bent, core support is pushed back, hood is fine and passenger side corner and head light is fine, everything else doesnt look to good, and the fenders are creased a lil, but they were like that already a little, i was planning on painting my truck here pretty quick, and this happens, so i guess im going to end up with a tahoe grille, cant decide on if i want the factory headlights back in there with clear corners or projectors, ss bumper cover, new fenders, core support, and the mounts for the radiator are broke but the radiator is fine, condensor will be replaced, all the plastic pieces are busted up, and i have a 1000$ deductable on insurance. you think my ins will be higher since i hit a deer? you think there is a way i could get my truck painted while they do all the other work to it? this will be the first time ive turned anything in on ins, so i dunno whats goin to happen..

1000$ deductable

Your insurance will go up regardless if you claim on it, a basketball goal fell on my old truck and they still upped my insurance.

Usually, insurance only goes up if you claim something (hitting a deer included).

That is how mine (State Farm) is. Say that you get in a wreck with $1500 in damage and your deductible is $1000. It would be cheaper to pay the $1500 then claim it (to save $500) when your rates are going to go up and it will cost you more in the long run...

Your insurance will not go up on a deer hit it is covered under your comp (Act of nature ) part of your insurance I know I got a 8 point last nov $5,000 in damage for me $100 ded is all I had to pay. Good luck with the repair.

my friend hit a deer he said it didnt go up, it may just be for certain companys.. i dunno.. it did a pretty dang good deal of damage, looks like im just missing a grille and head lights but its alot worse than it looks, yeah i know 1k deductable, but im 18 and ins is killing so the deductable makes it cheaper, did prolly a couple grand worth of damage, not real sure but im goin to get estimates tomorrow,

edit: forgot to mention i have full coverage too
