Damn thats a lot more damage than i expected from the title. But having run into two trees and persuading the adjustor not to total mine, i kinda wished i had and just gotten something new. Good luck to you.

They may not total it. You'd be surprised sometimes at what it takes for insurance to total one out, and then again it'd surprise you what they DO total out

On another note, I do have a white tailgate for sale in the classified section..

It is totaled no doubt bout it. Truck KBB is 14,000 in excellent condition. That is retail and i don't think they go off of dealer sell price. Total is usually 50% of replacement. There fore $6000 Is enough to total it out.

It would take a miracle for it to not head to a junk yard.

body stuff + the tierod that is broke in the front + the alignment that will need to be done + the wheel that may be bent and probably should be replaced. Then you add the mileage and consider its a "work truck" i bet they total it out....

I have come to the conclusion im going to try to get them to total it.... why have them fix a pickup that already has 210000 miles on it lol.

I bought a 98 grand am in great shape, new battery, new tires, ect... with 150k on it for $500 today to drive till i figure out whats up with the pickup.

The adjuster from progressive is coming on tuesday.... i am still considering a buyback if they total it. I may part it out or just keep it as a work pickup so i dont have to beat up my new pickup when i get one.

I will keep you guys updated!

The adjuster happened to have time to come look at the pickup today.

The pickup is totaled. She stopped adding things up a $13,000 (she was even using used parts when she was adding stuff up) ....

I bought a 98 grand am in excellent shape for $500 yesterday, just happened to talk to the right person at the right time... i bought it to drive till i got the pickup fixed or something new to drive.

I really need to find some wheels to put on it so i can keep my Hummer rims and almost new Coursers....

yeah you never know if its gonna be totalled or not...
when I wrecked my V6 camaro it was like 16 or 17k in damages, but was not totalled... cuz the car was worth like 23 still.

Insurance paid for the repairs and we sold the car for 22ish, and we had bought it 5 months earlier for 23 something... and I put a few thousand miles on, so not too bad a deal.

But I didn't have insurance from them anymore two claims in one month, because the car had just gotten back from the shop from being egged

Hopefully insurance doesn't massacre you now good luck
