True, worse things in life could have happened.... and theres nothing i can do about it now.

Its just embarassing, not even a good story to go with the wrecked truck.

Insurance shouldnt jump horrible because i havent ever claimed an accident and only have 1 speeding. I hope lol.

..............Trying to stay positive, lol.....

With most insurance companies, when you turn 25, your premiums plummet. If need be, you may need to throw liability on your new ride until you hit that "milestone" as they like to call it sometimes. If you or your parents know someone who is an insurance agent, you can always get a quote through them, and then ask them what the same coverage would be if you were 25 (or any other variables)

thats probably what will happen if its totaled.... drop the insurance to liability and drive it the way it is.

I just hope if it is totaled they pay off the loan i have on it for "$12k"... i have gap insurance if they dont though, so i dont have to worry about paying a bunch out of pocket...

Do This....

You can acquire the other parts and money for body work as time goes on if you want. Then your insurance doesn't have to get involved.

I already called insurance earlier this morning..

I would never have called the insurance if i didnt have a $12k loan on it...... I probably would have just had liability on it.

Anyone have a guess what the buy-back price from the insurance would be on a vehicle in this condition?

I am considering buying it back if its totaled and having the steering fixed and just driving it

I dont know how your state works but in Ky, you cannot buy back a totalled vehicle in which you have a lien on.
