Ive seen a few trucks with corvette intake covers, I was wonder whats the process to getting these to fit (without buying a ls1 or ls6 intake)
Can I shave down my stock intake to make the top look like a ls1 then simply bolt on the corvette engine covers? Just looking to do a bit of a underhood appearance mod, thanks for any info

The passenger side goes on fairly easy, just a little cutting. You will of course have to make some mounts for it. The drivers side is the one that is a pain. You could just slap in on there with minimal cutting, but it will not sit even with the other side and it will make the motor look like its leaning if that makes sense. You have to cut up the drivers side a good bit to make it fit right. Unfortunately not really a how too, just have to place it up there, cut a little, put it back, and cut a little more until it fits right.

Only pics I really have. The top cover wasn't mounted right, and was a little tilted, but you get the idea. "CORVETTE" was filled in and the "5.7L" was sanded down. The plan was to get some decals cut that said "SILVERADO" and "4.8L", but just never got around to it.
And no, you can't shave your truck intake down to fit the covers
