Hey, I was just wondering what you all do when you color match. I am assuming you knock down the texture that is on the parts then prime/paint, Or do you buy new parts that are smooth already. I searched but no answers.

Both! if you want it to have a better chance of staying, find paintable peices.

if you want to paint what you have, knock down some texture, spray adhesion promoter, multiple coats of high build primer, sand smooth, then paint
