My valance is also that lame grey color. What did you use to paint it?

I washed the valence with a degreaser so as to start with a known clean piece. Then I sanded it with a red scotch-brite pad. Next was another go with the degreaser, then I let it air dry.

The first "paint" product I used was Dupli-Colors Adhesion Promoter which helps the paint stick to the plastic piece(s) being painted. In this case the lower valence. Next I used Dupli-Colors Bumper Black to paint the valence. This paint is supposedly designed to be used on bumper plastics such as the lower valence, upper bumper caps etc. It's suppose to flex with the plastic piece so it won't otherwise come off. Time will tell if this is true I suppose.

Looks better. How closely does it match the bumper cap and fender flares? From the pics, it appears to be very close.

To be a generic black paint it matches pretty dang good. I'm happy with it.

Long term update. The painted lower valence is holding up great! I haven’t even touched up the paint on it.
