well like the title says how hard is it to change the center carrier bearing in a 99 silverado 2 wd? Im also doing the ujoints as well any tips or tricks i need to know? my dad and my brother are a little more experienced in the mechanical stuff then i am but im not dumb just havent done the ujoints myself before so im a little nervous but thats why my dad and brother will be there lol. any help would be appreciated thanks.

 

oh yeah its an automatic and a 4.8 v8

 

well the shop that put my new center support bearing on had to use a 50 ton press to get it off.. it was a pain in the butt thats for sure.
and i let them put the new Ujoints in for me, friends with a guy there so i couldnt complain bout the price..

 

did they just do the bearing part or did they just replace the whole unit according to the pictures of it and what ive seen under the truck it looks like a bolt off/on piece.

 

Why is this in the show and shine Lol..

 

cause i thought more people would see it in the 24 hours till i did the work lol im on my way right now ill let you know how it turns out lol
