ok, i got the hood in a few weeks ago and fitted it to make sure it fit good and all...well it did so it was cool. it's sitting on a couple saw horses now waiting for me and my dad to sand it, well we went today to get started on it and well, my dad has over 30 years in fiberglass work and fabrication and probably just as much bad *** in fiberglass as anyone around. well he started looking over it and it's bubbled where they don't take care of their molds, a few spots have WAY to little gelcoat on them....basically it's gonna take A LOT of work to get it ready to put on. sand it all down, fill the shitty spots w/ bondo resand, wet sand and then prep for paint. just letting you guys know that i really really don't like their product and would not reccomend them to ANYONE, not even RED2K.

is your hood a two piece fiberglass or 1 piece? mine is two piece so when i cut the cowls open it's gonna have a back piece to open too about 2.25 inches behind that. and when they're both cut out it's gonna have an empty spot in between that pops will have to fiberglass to smoothe up. guess the only really good thing is that we had plans to try to make it functional anyways so that helps a little. WE'VE GOT A LOT OF WORK TO DO, to get it ready for paint by next wednesday.

mine is two piece, one shell for the top and one for the bottom. it could quite easily be made functional but i don't think i'm gunna cut open my expensive hood to make a very in-efficient mod that *might* add 15hp. and actually i'm using the UPD intake so it wouldn't work at all.

just a reminder to anyone that CARHOODS.COM hoods suck ***....we've spent about 15 hours sanding already, had to fill 3 huge bubbles with bondo, and there's a few spots where their molds stuck(suck) these guys sale SHITTY products.

lawyer should have something to say about getting it all back outta their asses though!!!! dad is seriously pissed about how absolutely ******* SHITTY their stuff it he talked to a buddy of his today that's a bigshot lawyer down here about what he can do cuz of their claims of 100% best product around and then delivering ****.
