I used testors candy apple red. i sanded the lights and cleaned them first, then sprayed about 3 coats of candy red, wetsanded the candy so it would look even and then shot with automotive grade clear. They turned out really good i think. I have 03 tails on my truck so i put them on my dads truck. Now i have another set of tails i'm trying to think of what to do with!

Contact Merzee's Auto Body in CA. They do it and they use about 10 coats on factory lenses. Tough finish thats super clean.

I did mine, got the paint from Wal-Mart, Testors transparent candy apple red, and then a can of clear from the model section. It cost me about 10 bucks and a couple hours work. I just need to buff them to make them shine more. But it's really easy to do.

Yes, i picked it up at wal mart. I believe the testors was 2.88 or so per can. you only need one for a set

As for the clear i got it at an auto paint store, i believe it runs about 25 a quart, maybe more. You will also need the activator. You can pick up testors clear, but its crap compared to this
