Default Can you sandblast chrome off?

I have been wanting to do something with the front end of my cc for a while and I really like the Joe Gibbs front end but hard to find so I have decided to paint all the bumper parts but my bumper is chrome so I was wondering can I sandblast the chrome off at home with my air compressor!

Yes it should come off. I sandblasted a trailer two weeks ago with chrome fenders that had some rust spots and it came all off to bare metal.

If you want pain to last longer on metal parts like that, heat them up some with a torch then paint it. adheres much better but don't over do it or you can warp the part

You have to strip the chrome off before you can powder coat it I'm pretty sure.
