Calling C3 people and others in the know...........
Have a 2006 Sierra SLT and think the interior is bland thee way it is
and was thinkin'(if compatible) swap in C3 Trim
the haunting question, are the seat cover skins compatible; know that subtle changes were made over the years, or is there something better that can be done?
And how hard is it to change a headliner............
Thanks- good to know, I'll prolly be painting a bunch of parts like the dash center console etc. Drivers seat if getting pretty trashed- great time. Now about that overhead........
But really, I would have to agree with black04, in that you would be better off using the parts from a ’03 thru ’07 Classic Denali, as besides the consoles being different, the seats, door skins and dash itself are all slightly different. The ’03 up models use a double-din radio configuration and while the dash surround looks very similar to the ’01 / ‘02, they are in fact different. For the Zebra wood grained switch panels in the doors, I used the ones from a Yukon Denali, as the Sierra Denali’s all came with the standard truck panels. I agree with the others, as far as just recovering your existing headliner. If you want to go the full enchilada route, just remember that even the carpet is different between the Denali’s and the regular trucks, which if yours were in good shape and can be cleaned up, probably isn’t worth the cost of swapping out.
