Actually im doing the fronts now because I cant stand my stock brakes and this seemed like a nice deal to jump on. In the future I definitly want to get some stuff for the rear like you (those slotted rotors look SICK!) and also some kinda control over the proportioning front to back.

I'm going to stick with the standard dot 3 unless Advance Auto has anything else. The reason being is that you can get dot 3 practically anywhere. Sure, I shouldn't ever need to add any fluid but knowing me there will be the one time where I will have to. lol.

Check out what the fluid im using says:
"ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid has a dry boiling point of over 530 degrees F, far exceeding DOT 4 standards. Mixes with any other DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid. Super Blue absorbs moisture very slowly, so you don't have to change it as often as many high-performance fluids. Great for your street car that sees weekend track duty."
So you can mix in another dot 3 or 4 with no problem. Im expecting the fluid to contribute to an overall huge leap in performance with my brakes.

Took the truck out tonight after finishing the project. I think I broke them in properly. I made about 5 or 6 runs from about 25mph moderately/steadily braking to about 10mph. Then I made 3-4 run from 45mph down to 10mph. All I can say is this truck stops like right now! The stock tires give up pretty early and all 4 howl severly under hard braking. I'm impressed at the improvement over the stock setup. The braking seems to have a much more positive feel. I'll be taking it easy on the brakes for awhile to allow them to fully break in. Then I will really go out and test the 60-0 distances and I will post a follow up then. So far, this project was definitely worth it. The only snag I ran into was that I can't find my lug nuts for one of the front tires. I have no clue where I put them. Good thing I had an extra set.

I'm kind of going for a decent all around performer, sort of like a sport touring truck. Hmmm, maybe I should have just bought that BMW M3 in the first place.
