I just dropped my wheels off at the powdercoaters, but they won't be getting to them for at least 1.5 weeks. They have three shades of black they use on wheels; matte, satin (40% gloss), and gloss. Right now I'm leaning towards satin. Matte is too chalkboard-ish and apparently loves brake dust and road grime, gloss apparently is easy as hell to scratch. Anyone done gloss black with a clear over it?

Please post up some pics of your black wheels and tell us what shade of black they are. Thanks!

 

Im interested to see the difference as well. Im in the market for either the Silvy SS Reps or TBSS Reps. Debating on Chrome or Gloss Black, but wanted to see how "shiny" the gloss black is.

I would say satin black. I seen a set done in like a dark gun metal grey that also looked really good to. Will see if I can find that picture again.
