Default Best tire size for HD

Just got an '03 dmax, what size and more importantly what width will fit? I'm looking for the bulky tire look, but not overboard, the stock tires just aren't cutting it. tia.

285's are the max before some cutting need to be done. 265's look much better than the bicycle 245's they put on the Max . . .

Default Keep old tires!

285's fill out the wheel well pretty good. You may get a slight milage decrease, even when recalculating for oversized tires. Odometer does not know you have them unless you reprogram your ECM.

After you upsize your tires, I would hang on to your old tires. There is some TSB out on the D/A combinations and oversized tires. Dealer may refuse warranty service with anything but "factory" sized tires on transmission related problems.
