Default Best place to buy Toyo Proxes?

Well, I've settled on the 18" escalade wheels (18" x 8"). Therefore, I'd like to go with a 285/60/18 Proxes. They retail for $169 a piece. Would I be best off getting them locally or have you all used a good source online? Thanks!

holy crap that last link is cheap. I just don't know about the site though. I don't want to get some defective tires or have them blowout on me.

Also, I'd really like 285's over 275s for a little more grip out back. The only thing I don't like is these will be 31.5" tall versus my stock 30.5" so my effective gear ratio will become even shittier (3.42)

FYI, Toyo's in my experience with 2 sets I have bought and the set thunder bought, is they are about an inch shorter in real life then the tire calculator say they are supposed to be.

Oh and I got my last set from treadepot too.

Hmm...if that's the case then the 285's will be perfecto!

I'm gonna call my local dealer and see if I can get them for around $400 (what it would cost from the cheapest link here shipped to my place). Do you guys think that's realistic?

HAHA, no. I told Discount tire what I could buy them for from treadepot.com and he told me that's what he pays for them... Didn't stop him from trying to sell them to me for a 150 more then treadepot.com though,
