Did you ever put the HD hood on your Sierra?

 

Sorry man, I have to find another one for my Sierra. There's a guy in my area who has a cowl hood on his 01 HD. I'll have to track him down to see if he has the stock one laying around.

There's about 4 " of snow on the ground now so modding is slowed down a bit.

 

Do you think this could be done with any chevy hood???

 

The 01 HD hood fit on My 99 Chevy Step side with no modifications.-- leaving me to think a regular 1500 hood would fit a gmc with headlight trimming as well but evrything else would be fine.

I don't see the benfit though. My stock Chevy Hood had a prominent center ridge that wouldn't go good with the GMC.

Do you want a Chevy Style after market hood for your GMC? A stlye they don't offer for the GMC?

 

Yea basically... there are soomany nice hoods that they make for the Chevy's that they don't make for the GMC's... i.e. Harwood's cowl hood, refelxxions cowl hood w/ the flipper on it. If I could get one non painted, and cut it like you're saying, the aftermarket hood world just got a whole lot bigger...
