That hood looks sick man!!! Just a little triming and its there! I've been looking for a new lid for my GMC and haven't been pleased with the steel choices out there. I wonder if all Chevy hoods will be this easy to fit! Hell yeah!

Props to ya brotha.

Notice how the hood flows with the grill and bumper. Almost like it was made for the GMC.

I have two trucks,
1) 99 step side Chevy rcsb, I hit a deer in 2001 and bought a HD hood for it. The hood fit with no modifications.

2) I also have an 03 GMC Sierra Z71 1500.

I tested the Chevy HD hood on my GMC. It fit perfect other than the fact you will have to cut out too clear the top part of the headlights,
pictured here. I put a piece of masking tape just to give an idea of the bottom cut line.

Thats as far as I went for now. I have to invest in another gmc hood and start the body work.

The hinges and headliner are the same other than
My chevy has and under hood light and the GMC only has a ground.

Wanna swap your GMC front clip for an '04 Silverado HD front clip. My truck is black as well. LET me know if you are interested. Chevyguy27@aol.com thanks. Bob

Wow... I think it kinda looks like a Dakota now. lol.
Looks great man.

I bet it was a pain putting on though. I hope you had at least someone to help you put the hood on. Looks like you are going to have to do quite a bit of cutting.
