Aiming Headlights
#1
Anybody had any luck with aiming their own headlights either after lowering or lifting your truck? I tried a couple years ago (after I lowered my truck) to re-aim them using the adjusters near the headlight. I can't get them near what they were when the truck was at stock height (level and in a pattern that casts the best light on the road). Is there somewhere that I can have my lights re-aimed at? If so, what does it cost (in general)? Thanks!

just take it to a dealership, they can do it pretty quick and shouldn't cost to much. i just took my mom's 03 yukon in thursday because the passenger side headlight was aimed higher than the drivers side light.

I have had no problems aiming mine with a 2/4. I have noticed that different bulbs reflect differently though. My stock bulbs shine lower that a set of Xenon bulbs I have. I did a side by side on the the bulbs and the filiments are at different length. Dont know if you have changed you bulbs or not but the info may help.

Yep, I did go with a different bulb. I have the PIAA Ultra White (something like that). Those little suckers are bright too. This might also be the problem. I'll have to see how much my dealer charges me when I get a chance.

when i put my Denali hedlights on they were really pointing low. i guess because a Yukon is quite high compared to my truck lowered about 3" in the front. How i adjusted mine was park my truck exactly next to my dads avalanche and raised them to his level.
