Default aimed my headlights

well last night i decided to aim my head. man WTF have i been thinking. its like a whole new truck. my passenger light was pointing off in the woods and way down. the driver light was pointing like striaght down. i measured the center point of the head light and measured off 25ft and measured up same amount on the wall. tweaked them in and oh man!!! now i want new housings. i found a set that were clear with out the diffusing looking **** on the front. will these shine better than the stock housings? i did the 4-hi mod including the fogs. i'm thinking of going hid's if i get new housings. its just plain awesome to be able to see where i'm going. before, my hi's looked like lows should. it was horrible.

I need to aim mine...so you measured to the bulb, then went 25 ft away and put the beam on the distance from ground to bulb?

thats what the gm book says to do. there is a little dot in the middle of the beam to measure to. mine was 36" then i backed 25ft from the garage door and up 36" on the door. then bring them in straight in front and center the beam on the 36" mark. for fogs measure up same way but substract 2"s from the measurement on the wall. so for 15" fog measure up 13" on the wall.

Rad. I'll do that tonight. I have aftermarket lights so I'm not sure if I have a dot.

Honestly, I wouldn't go for the lenses without the diffusing stuff, I feel it helps to make the light spread more so you get more of a broad field of view (think of a flood light bulb vs a spot light bulb). Also before you go crazy, throw in a set of silverstars. I run them in all 6 spots in my truck and I feel like I'm driving in daylight.

Just my opinion... with the price of HID's now, I wouldn't mess with silverstars. I have Silverstars in my Tahoe and have had several sets in the Truck. After my most recent silverstar burnout, I went with a DDM tuning 35W 5000K kit and the difference is amazing. Now I feel like I have dingy regular halogens when I drive the Tahoe after driving the truck. I will say though that the Silverstars are an improvement over regular halogens but for the price I am a bit dissappointed in their longevity.
