82 stepside c10 sittin low
Just recently got most of the truck put together, it's victory red with eagle alloys 225 and a lot of drop. 20x8.5 front with 255/40/20 and 20x10 with 315/35/20 rear. any tips on keeping these polished wheels clean? i polished and waxed the wheels a few days ago and they already look like hell. i daily drive it lol.

Long story about the stepside bed. It was a originally a fleetside, but both bedsides, the front panel, and parts of the inners were either rusted to hell, or covered in tons of filler. I was going to find another fleetside bed and run a grants custom roll pan and shave the gas door/stake pockets, but a friend of my father's said i could have the stepside bed if i came and picked it up. Couldn't argue with that as i'm on an insanely tight budget. I've learned to like the stepside bed. We put a ton of work into to make it look nice, shaved chains, shaved gass door, shaved stake pockets, bedrails look like glass, shaved taillights, steel floor raised 4", etc etc. It's also way different. how many stepside squarebodies do you see with a stepside bed that's nice? next to none. At heatwave i'm pretty sure i was the ONLY stepside square there, and i was there both days.
i wish i could clear the wheels but it's waayyyy out of my budget.

I use stuff from Shineseal on all my polished aluminum. It's the old Zoopseal company under a new name. I don't know what it is but it seals the aluminum...you wipe it off with a damp microfiber and it looks like you just polished it. It's about 100 bucks for a kit off their site but it's worth every penny when you don't have to polish once a week.

Well, slowly putting the interior together.
But some bad news, tranny started slipping BAD, but it felt almost like it was something leaking, the fluid looked brand new, no metal shavings, no noises, just bad slipping, came to the conclusion that when the shift kit/servo was put in a seal got damaged and is bleeding off fluid. Going to the shop that installed the shift kit tomorrow. Hopefully good news.
