Default 3-piece engine covers

What engine, model, & year truck or suv comes with the 3-piece plastic engine covers. Also how hard would it be to add them to a 2000 5.3 & about how much would it cost. I am trying to find the ones that will be on the new SS Silverado 6.0 liter when it comes out.

Will the SS come with a different cover than the "Vortech 6000" 3 piece cover?

Here are the part numbers for the 3 piece 6000 cover:

15006419
Top cover

Left and right wing covers
15006418
15006417

Top cover hinge
12561510

I don't know if this will be a direct bolt on. Anyone?

for the 99-00 trucks, you'll need to buy:

--the clip that attaches to the back of the intake manifold for the 01+ 4.8/5.3 or 6.0 covers (whether one or two piece.)

--The 01+ valve covers have bosses in them for the side pieces to screw into. As far as I know, the 99-00 don't have them. You would have to swith over to the 01+ covers.

Here's an older pic of my motor--I've since put on LT1 fans and the K&N.

Thanks for the part #'s BigTex & thanks for the information Scream. I know I will have to do some modifying to make them fit on my truck since my valve covers have been reversed but I think the effort will be worth while. I think the covers will clean up my engine compartment a little.
