Default 2000 silvy's...lots of pics!

well this weekend me and another member from the site (SBChvy) did a lot of work on my truck this weekend as well as a quick photo shoot...I put LS1 fans in my truck as well as an 02 PCM and he tuned my truck...along with that I finished my ram air install and got a free tonneu cover from my friend...I couldnt be happier with the way my truck runs now...of course now I really want a cam badly...well enough talk here are some pics...

heres a pic of his truck that he took before I got there...looks like a GM ad

you can kinda see my ram air setup here...really works well...some are skeptical about it but we loged my truck as well as his truck with a ram air hood...I have a volant and he has K&N...for ex. my truck was sittin while he was changing fuel tables and before I took off the IATs were around 122 (ambient was around 85-90) and I drove about 1.5 miles and it went down to around 95 then another 1.5 miles and it dropped down to 84-82!...

His truck took around 3-5 miles to cool off temps but still were around on average 3-5 degrees about ambient...we taped off his hood and my scoop and his took longer to cool off and stayed warmer and same with mine...eventually mine would still be a little cooler...we even took his headlight out and that ran the same temp as mine...anyone with a volant knows there still is an openin for the fender so I taped it shut so air could only come in the scoop...after running home I opened the box and the tape ripped off!...Im really happy with the setup

heres my new 8K HIDs that we installed this weekend as well

Im trying to convince him to take the 4x4 blocks out of the back to make her sit level...def. in a few weeks when we get together again the moldings, badges are comin off and the trucks are getting a good wax and buff...

he's got 8ks all around...really wish I had fogs

we both have 03+ lights to be installed so I just ordered the harnesses and next I need to send em out to be smoked...(if someone is up for the job please PM me!) I also have a chrome bumper to put on and gonna get painted door handles...

I would like to put and SS bumper cover on but I think for know Im gonna try to paint the upper and lower valance...and of course these are both daily drivers and not show trucks so please keep that in mind but I would like to hear what you guys think...and if someone is up to photoshop my friends truck 2" drop in the rear please feel free!...thanks for looking!

Yeah the meet up was a great idea and and we got a lot of work done...but plenty more to do for another weekend. As far as the volant air intake-it's def worth it. His truck had IAT's one or two degrees less than ambient air temps, and it would cool off to that point within 2 or 3 miles. My truck having an FIPK with a fully functional fiberglass hood had IAT's around 5 degrees above ambient air temps-and would take 5 or more miles to cool off to that point. Removing the headlight on my truck produced results extremely similar to the volant setup. Needless to say i'll be messing around with my air intake. Thanks for all good comments everybody and the location is in Schaghticoke Ny which is about 20 minutes north of Albany. I'm open to any suggestions for the appearance my truck-I think its time for some 20's and a de-badge.
