Default 2" drop spindles or lower control arms

Hello,

I'm looking to lower my 01 GMC Sierra Extendacab 2/4 and looking to maintain ride quality and not sure if I should install drop spindles or lower control arms to achieve a 2" drop. I think drop spindles would be a little easier to swap.

I had a local shop qoute me $500 to do the work. That includes the rear hangers and shackles.

Seems to be a constant question with a bunch of different answers. I just went through the same process and after listening to everyone and reading everything I could I decided on a 2/4 kit from DJM (bought from StylinConcepts). It includes 2" lower control arms for the front and hangers/shackles for the rear. I also added a full set of Toxic shocks and a 1 1/2" replacement bump stop. Total cost including shipping was $600.

I already downloaded all the instructions direct from the DJM site and it doesn't look to difficult. I will be doing mine myself with a buddy.

The kit is due next week and I'll get it on next weekend and will post some picks.

Here's my truck before the drop:

djm lower control arms all the way. I found Godfathers customs to have the best price. The kit is very easy to do your self. The hardest this is to break loose the ball joints. I did it with a fork and a big sledge hammer. I would use a air chisel with a fork on it next time.
