The quickest & easiest method to lower your truck 2" in the rear would be to replace the shackles at the rear of the leaf springs. They are pretty cheap too. It only takes about an hour to do. Any company that sells after market parts for our trucks should carry them.

If you are talking about what I think you are it's welded to the rear-end and has a guide hole for the springs.

Re: 2" drop in rear?
What about dearching the lowest of the leaf in the leaf spring. One of my friends had that done in Mexico for $25. They were able to lower his truck 2 inches from the back and there was no change in ride quality. I certenly think its worth if you ask me. Anybody has any input or experiences on this?

Re: 2" drop in rear?
I did the 2 inch rear drop using the shackles... some of the best 50 bucks I've ever spent! It really looks much better with the truck being levelled out, especially if you have some bigger wheels. It helps to have air tools for the install though, it got a lil tricky at times using opposing wrenches to tighten/loosen the bolts.
