Question 2/4 drop w/ 22" rims & 305/40/22 tires

Is it possible to install a 2/4 drop on an ECSB truck with that size wheel and tire combo? Asking for a friend. He thinks no but I think other wise. I don't know the backspacing of the rims either. Thanks!

i have 22's 285/35/22's on a djm 2/4 drop. The back is fine. The front is extremely close. I have like a 1/4 to 1/2 of clearance when turning the wheels from one side to the other. That combo may work driving straight but turning would give you problems. You need to look at the overall diameter of the tire by going to manafacturer of the tires or tirerack website. I have nittos 555 285/35/22's. The diameter is 29.88 inches. I woudn't recomend going any bigger. When I drive on the freeway and hit a bump in the road, there is a very slight rub. I think that a 305/40/22 would be too large IMO. They do make some smaller 22 inch tires such as the TOYO 265/40/22. Pirelli 295/30/22. I went with the Nittos because they have a very strong sidewall and nice tread pattern. Good luck.

WaitinToDrag & j's01silverado, what are the BS'ing of your rims? Would that matter at all or is it more the tire size?
