Default removed mouldings but now theres a problem....

i removed my mouldings on my 2000 silverado and now theres this hair sized glue line all around the outer portion of where the glue tape was. i cant get the damn thing off for the life of me. ive tried scraping it with my fingernail, 3M adhesive remover and another brand as well. all im getting it a "squeaky clean" sound when i rub the stuff on. what else can be done...besides sanding and waxing?

There is this stuff that you can get at Home Depot called Goof Off. I haven't found anything yet that it can't get off.

Elbow grease! Be careful too. I put a coat of bug and tar around the area just in case anything slipped while I was working it would have some protection against a scratch.

I found the 3M Adhesive remover the best. It crystalized that gray glue/foam stuff within about 40 seconds. Once it is crystalized, you can just scrape it off with a plastic razor. Then clean everything up with bug and tar remover.

I think this may have come too late, but I hope everything is working out well. **It takes time.
