Default 18" Tire Size

I picked up some 18" Escalade rims a few weeks ago and have been tossing around tire sizes.

Seems like the 285/50/18 is a good size tire. Is that the best tire size for stock height and 18's?

Truck is an 2004 RCSB Sierra with rear shackels. No plans on lowering.

I have 265/60 I was wanting a 285/55 but tires were so hard to come buy it wasnt worth searching or the money.. 265/60 is a very common size and the can be inexpensive

right now i just have rear 2'' shackles, will be doing a 2/4 drop this fall

I run 265/60s on my winter tires and they are almost an inch shorter then my 285/50-20s. I used to have 285/60-18s that are the same heigth as the 20s.

just put some up in the post a pic sticky. Titan 18's w/ 235/50 fronts and 295/45 rears. most don't like tires that thin, but i like and there lighter.

I've looked at the 285/60's as well, they are still an option.

Thanks for the picks but I do want something with some more sidewall.

Why not the stock size? 265/65/18?

Just for comparison,

If you want more sidewall and better pricing/availability, go with stock sizing.

285/50's are gonna be a bit short. 265/60's are the same height as stock nbs 2wd reg cab tires.
