03 z71 drop
#11
Is there a how-to anywhere on the net that tells how to lower by adjusting the torsion bars. I'd like to drop my 03 Z71 slightly, 2" max, but have never worked with a torsion bar suspension.
What would this do to ride quality and handling?
Thanks.

Hey guys thought I would chime in here since I've been doing this 4x4 lowering thing. So far on mine I took out the rear lift blocks and installed belltech lower shackles for a total drop of 4" now to the front I bought and installed the belltech torsion bar keys. It dropped it alot not sure how much, forgot to measure it. But I need to crank the torsion bars up alittle cause my tires are leaning in. It's pretty cool I can reach the center of my roof now, easy to wash now. Check my sig I got the pic's after I lowered it.

on that 2" shackle part, is it a 2" longer shackle for a 1" actual drop like i have? or do they actualy make a shackle that will drop the truck 2"? that would have to be 4" longer.
