Default Are 00 and 01 Chevy/gm cabs the same?

I have a Lund lighted moon visor that came off my 2000 silverado for sale. I had a guy with a 2003 was wondering if it would fit his. Now he's about 6 hrs away so we need to be sure before we make a deal.

It's the exact same, as long as the 2000 in question is not a 99-2000 Classic (GMT400 body style).

I'm not sure if the dash's mount differently, as they made subtle changes to the column and dash for the 03+ design change (at least I know the the Chevy's changed their dash). But I doubt it would be all that different in reality, i'm just throwing out any potential bumps in the road that might come up, just in case my advice is wrong

It fit the gentlemans truck now for another related question. I have a whole 05 escalade front clip that I had installed on my 00(NBS), he's wondering if it will bolt on to the front of his 03? Wondering if the bumper mounts, fender to door mounts and rad support are the same.

There basically the same from 99-07 classic,

People have put an 03-07 classic front in on a 2000 style truck and visa versa all the time.

As long as all the parts are from GMT800 style trucks or Suv it should be no problem. Exception would be frames, and the Rear bumpers as SUV's and trucks have a slightly different shape.

99-07 Classic is defined as the GMT800 Series trucks also referred to as NBS.

07 was the cross over year and the start of the new body style referred to as the NNBS 07-13 These would be the GMT900 platforum.

The term 07 classic refers to the GMT 800 trucks NBS before the change over.

Some Late 06 model trucks were Sold as 07's and are classified as an 07 classic.

GMT is a designation of series for the Truck Platform that the body and chassis are based on.

GMT = General Motors Truck series

Cars would just use a GM designation followed by a number for their application.
