Stock shortblock/heads 6L and sts turbo for now, 418 wont be back in till summer. It should still run well with a cam, vic jr carb intake, nitrous plate system(probably wont be used till the 418 is in), 80e with trans brake, 2step, and of course all the supporting stuff.

Right now its looking like it will be back together mid Nov. with the 65e, March with the 80e and intake done. Just gotta find time to work on it and put the 6L together

Sounds like it'll be a great set up. I like the STS set up, several guys I know are running it and really like it.
I'll be running a nitrous plate set up too, Wilson is setting it up for me. I'll run that for a little while, then I'll eventually swap out the composite intake on mine now for the 6.1 hemi aluminum intake and modify the heads for fit (unless someone make an aluminum direct fit for the 5.7). Maybe then I'll plum a direct port nitrous set up in it I love this stuff lol

Good luck and i cant wait to see it run. Lemme know if I can with anything.

Are you nuts? That's exactly what they're doing!
That's a slap on the face to everyone modding our trucks.
How do you think Chevies got all the mods? Do you think it was free? It wasn't. R&D is expensive.
It Cost GM less than $3,500 to build your truck. Is that what you paid? NO!
Why? Because GM spent about $100,000,000 to get ready to build it. So, GM used YOUR money to design all the trucks before they sold ONE.
That's what's happening in the aftermarket everyday. There are people looking for ways to make (pick a brand/model) vehicles faster. It will not end as long as someone wants to go faster.
Look at all the trucks owned by people on the boards. Do you think it is all "imagined"?
Do you "imagine" you're going to just bolt on a radix and your truck is going to run perfectly without tuning? Without, costly, R&D there would be no tuning. I can remember when LS1 edit was a dream come true. Evidently, you just walked right into it. But, it wasn't always there. It required R&D!
It's not like, one by one, we drove our trucks one morning and realized they were quicker than they used to be.
If you can't see this, never mind.

All you had to say is it cost GM $3500 to build a new truck, that statement shows your ignorance.

It took no time for GM owners to have the aftermarket availible.Dodge doesnt ,my point.By the time they have options they will be long passed up and onto the next generation of new vehicals and a all new aftermarket.

you know gonz... this is old hat ****... You don't really have to post any comments anymore.... Just post a blank page and we can easily fill in the blank...

I did not know LS1 Edit was available the first day the LS1 was selling to the public... that's interesting..... no one had to R&D anything for the LSX generations huh??

Yea, I notice how fast the Dodge guys are being passed up by the new offerings by other manufacturers......... uh... what models were they btw???

how do you like your crow??? you will be eating it soon.... will you be buying a Hemi then?

Gonzo they just don't show you no mercy do they...well here is something you can nibble on. I have an 03' ram with a hemi and I also have an 01' T/A with an ls1. The T/A is stock (except for all the problems that come from it) and the ram has a $1000 in it and my ram is faster than my T/A, by a fender only. Not bad for 4600 lbs and $1000 dollars (I do all the work, no labor charge) Of course the T/A is stock and I would be deep into that but I have been forbidden to do so. I could see 10's in that easy, or at the least 12's for a thousand. To bad the tune is not available for the Dodge computer like the Chevy.
I can see you may have forgotten about history when back in the day all the Chevy guys were crying about the original Hemi when it came out. I bet you didn't even know that Chevy designed it's own Hemi to compete but scrapped the idea when Nascar banned the Hemi from competition. I do have to give it to Chevy when the rest of the auto manufacturers decided to pull out of racing, Chevy said damn the torpedos full speed ahead. Thats where the proliferation of all the Chevy performance in the market cam from. Manufacturers R&D.
