Thumbs up Vacation Kills

So I went on vacation this past couple weeks, and I drove all the way to Indiana, so you know there was plenty on the road to pick from So on on my way back to VA when I see this Crustang GT 98 body style, he pulls next to me cause there is a truck in his lane so he wants to go in front of me instead of behind me So I pace him into the truck forcing him to get behind me So once we get around the big rig I continue to stay in the left lane as he shoots around me in the right lane. As he starts to pull i hit it, keep in mind were on I70 so were already doing about 75-80 MPH, and I slowly start to pull on him, ten he breaks and I shoot way passed him. I slowed dwon a bit and he caught up to me again, this time we're dead even, we droped to about 70mph then...he jumped then i put it down all the way to 100mph then continued till the rpms were up around 4800 in 3rd gear we put about a car between us and he slowed down, got off the next exit, and was never seen again

The next one was a ford F150, this guy had some stuff done on his truck cause it was bawlin out of control, I never seen an f150 without a SC go this quick but it wasnt fast enough we pull up to each other and pace for about a minute. Then I jump and he puts it down right after, we we're dead even until about 80mph and thats when I started walkin on him hard, put an easy truck on him by 100mph

You run a 15.70 and you took a 98 GT? Man, I'm reading all kinds of stories like this today I really thought they were faster than that. I thought they ran like low 14's high 13's. Anyhow, sweet kills!

I think that bodystyle GT had the 225hp 4.6 and the older ones had the old 5.0. If it was an auto the BEST it could hope for stock would be a high 14. I think the only stock GT that has a shot at a consistent 13 would be the new 05'.

Yeah, well kinda...You have to remember that the closes thing to the corvette, which runs a 13.5, from ford is the f150 lightning. The cobra mustang in the bodystyle I'm talking about above (96-98) wasn't that fast(of course, because it was superchaged then ) it ran a low to mid 14 sec 1/4. The only reason I know this is because I have two friends, in particular, one would bench race (cobra owner) and one actually got track times in his honda s2000. The s2000 ran a pretty consistant 14.2x and he would beat the cobra in every race they put together!! As for the mustang GT of 98 bodystyle's hell I beat them all day long in my girls prelude that runs a low 16 in the 1/4. Yeah a 16 for some reason that car just wasnt fast back then, now if it had been a new one that might have been a whole different story

Yeah, a Cobra is something entirely different, I was just referring to GT's. However I don't think Ford starting supercharging them until 2002ish? Before that they had a DOHC version of the 4.6.
