tundra vs vmax
#1
Well I just got back a few days ago from vaction with the family. My uncle bought a brand new Tunbda crewmax 2wd 5.7 limited and he was talking **** about my vmax. So before we hooked up the traliers we went out to the country. My truck has a corsa catback is a ccsb 6.0 4wd ltz and his is stock. We went three times from a dig and three times from 20 roll. All three times same thing happend he pulled me till his bumber was at my front door and thats were is stayed all the way to 97. From a roll I pulled him where my back bumper was at his front.
Then we hook the trailers up and went on vacation on the way up he pulled the 32ft weekend warrior and I pulled a 21 foot jet boat. On the way back we switch. I was very impressed with his truck and the tranny but he did only get 6 mpg pulling the trailer and 14 pulling the boat. I got 9 mpg pulling the trailer and 15 pulling the boat. He held speed a little better on the hills and I held it much better on the flat land. I could pull overdrive about 75 to 80 percent of the time on the doing between 65 and 75 the whole time. He was in fourth 90 percent of the time pulling 3100rpms when I was in 4th pulling 2400 or so rpms. We did not weigh my truck but his with the traler was 15685lbs. Pretty impressive pull for both half tons. I just wish I had a six speed auto.
Overall very impressive power train but the truck is not up to the standard IMO that the chevy is. I would call the race and trip a draw. I would like to point out his truck was sticker 2k more then mine with the 2wd to my 4wd both top of the line trucks. his was 45XXX and mine was 43XXX
