Default Tailgating irritates me

Not really a kill, just a story.

I’m driving home today. Left lane, doing 55 in a 45. Traffic on the right and traffic not too far ahead so I’m just cruising. Out of nowhere another Tahoe is on my ***. I’m a mirror checker, seems like every 10 seconds I check my rear view and I never saw this guy coming. He’s on my ***. My standard response to that…I slow down. Now I’m doing 45 and he doesn’t get the clue. Traffic clears in the right line. He guns it to go around me. First reaction was, “Whatever, as long as you’re off my ***”. He’s at my rear door. I notice traffic moving back into his right lane. He would have to cut me off in the left if he makes it around me. He doesn’t slow up. I can now see it’s a 20 year old kid and he on chrome 20’s. A low budget punk if you will. I decided he could stay behind me at this point. Now his rear bumper is at my front door. I floor it, 7psi, the FLT does a 4 to 3 to 2 downshift and all he gets to hear is WEEEEEEEEEEEEE as I blow past his *** from 45 to 80 or so. He was at WOT from the time he changed lanes so I know I scared the crap out of him. Later I got over into the right lane to make my turn and he wouldn’t look over at me. Oh well, stay off my ***.

I’m faster than a stock Tahoe on 20’s It makes all the mods worth it

I feel you on that. I would have done the same. Doesn't it feel good to scare the crap outta someone with a fast moving chunk of steel!!!

That is exactly how I look at it..."Do I really NEED more power?" No, but it is all worth it when you use it in situations just like yours. And with all the issues you have faced (and I have as well), that's quite a statement.

I usually do the same thing you did 1slowhoe, let them pass just to get them off my *** unless it means they're gonna cut me off in the process. Then they're on their own.

I don't want to turn this into a road rage thread or anything but, there are other ways to get people off your *** too. I have calmed way the hell down on the roads though in the last couple years.

Good way to test your mods out.
