my friend just bought one (srt-4), and ive never ran one before, but honestly i don't think much of neons....so we got out on a local highway and first we started from a roll of about 30, we both floor it, we stay even just for a couple of seconds and he shifts and starts leavin me pretty bad, we were about 80+ and he is steadily leavin me, i was pretty suprised. we get to the next redlight, and as soon as it turns green we are off. i have him buy about a length and and im steadily pullin, then out of no where he is right next to me and leavin me, by the time we are at about 80-90 he is already about 2 1/2 lengths ahead of me.....i have a new opinions of neons...

 

what truck/car and mods do you have. i'd imagine that car would walk all over any stock gm truck and some modded ones.

 

They are pretty quick from what I've seen. I believe the fastest stock 1/4 I've seen one of them run is a 13.75 or so.

 

I'm not surprised. SRT-4's are very impressive cars. My friend let me drive his SRT-4 one time and it was hard for me to get out of the driver's seat. Very fun car to drive. I think he ran a 13.83 in the 1/4 mile...bone stock.

 

I have a friend who traded his Hemi for one... ( baby dictated better gas milage ), his runs 13.90s bone stock.... when we race at HRP I can almost always win as I can leave easier than him but he is running me down hard at the end... his MPH is 100+ to my 95 ... and on the hiway rollons... forgit it.... he is gone!!

not much at the moment, i have put all my $ in exterior. i got k/n CAI and 3.73's and exhaust. it just really impressed me bein it was a 4banger, even though it has a turbo, i was just really suprised. kinda makes me want one.

 

Sounds like its a fast little bugger.

 

where i am from there is a guy with a modded SRT-4 that is in the mid 12's w/o using the bottle. very fast cars stock and if done right.
