Yes, the TBSS, or the new Cherokee hemi, or a few others would do it and better for sure. I was talking about a pick-up truck though. takes a lot top get these trucks to move quick.

 

Hey now lol, that was my previous car! They are no slouch if you don't run into some young punk kid who thinks he's in a Fast and Furious movie.

I ran a 13.6 with CAI and slightly smaller pulley (you can go as low as 2.6" mine was 3.0", stock is around 3.2-3") on the stock 18's w/ stock rubber. Plenty of people are running low 13's and high 12's now..it just keeps getting lower as the aftermarket rises for them.

If anything didin't deserve the SS badge it was the previous body style Impalas and monte carlos

 

Yeah i had an 03 impala ss.... it was teh worst vehicle ever....

had 4t65ehd i went through 2 of them first year owning it... and 3 the next 7 months. then again it wasnt exactly STOCK still wasnt anything like it should have been.... the suspernsion going through a turn made you feel like you were gonna scrape your door handles on the road.... body roll is horrible..

it just want right....

the new impala ss has the same suspernsion issues.... the gtp grand prix has a better suspension so it handles the 5.3 better but not by much!!

 

while we are talking **** i got this dumb *** 05 4.8 rcsb wanting to race me... my truck isnt godly, not alot of mods really, but damn... cocky bastard, stock 4.8 vs. 5.9 w/ cam, 10 to 1 comp, shortened intake, ram air, drag radials, 2.5'' true dual exhaust, 53mm tb, i know that isnt gonna be a 13 second truck, im shootin for mid 14's (stock magnum heads suck *** so the cam is just for noise ) mostly its all what you where raised with, it is around here any way.

Didn't seem like anyone was gettin their panties twisted... but that's just my perspective. Just FYI, 360Demon, when my truck only had exhaust, intake and programmer I raced a Dak setup very similar to yours except the DRs. It was dead even on the freeway but from a dig he could put a truck or two on me.
