There's already a Roush F-150 but it's supposed to be about $40-$50K and be slower than a L because of it being heavier.http://www.roushperf.com/f150.shtml

For me the L "replacement", if we can to refer to it as such, is a huge dissapointment! I will never buy another L unless it has more displacemant than 5.4L. I don't want an engine similar to the new Cobra. To be half way competive with it we need a 6.0L +. Back when the Cobra had a 4.6L, it was nice to know us L owners could play with it and not be too far off. Now an equally equiped new L would be totally destroyed! The supercharged 6.8L V10 could even the game a bit. 550hp/600tq would be a good starting point and easily achievable with the 3V 6.8L.

Bring on the SRTs.If anything else slap the new GT motor in there. That should get the job done,at least for the most part.I couldn't afford the gas in a S/C V10 much less plugs or anything else.

99Lightning,
Oops, I meant to say "a supercharged V10". But yes there were a couple of different V10's out there. The one you mentioned and I beleive they had put a smaller V10 in a concept mustang. I figure to keep costs down Ford could utilize the current V10 and supercharge it. I would be all over it.
As much as I like cars, I still like trucks more. I would consider the Cobra 5.4L in a new body design Ranger!

Well, Idunno bout trading anything (sure as hell, NOT my Ranger), but I'd buy one!
That thing has some serious potential!
There are conflicting #s, but I've read 108mph trap speeds. I ran 12.4 @ 108 (on motor) with my Ranger! If that Ranger had slicks, there ya go. Not to mention, the handling.
